National Tree Week got underway on Sunday March 2nd and this year’s theme is ‘The Sound of Trees’.
Orla went to visit Saint Attracta’s Junior and Senior National Schools in Dublin for a planting session with more than 150 saplings.
The week is all about appreciating the impact trees have on our lives and the important role they play.
Events are taking place all around the country including tree walks, seed sharing, lectures and more. To find an event near you or even plan your own event check out the Tree Council of Ireland website: www.treecouncil.ie
