Gill is from Greystones, Co. Wicklow and is the newest member of the news2day team. She studied Journalism at the Dublin Institute of Technology and specialised in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Missouri in the USA. After graduating, Gill was a newsreader and reporter for a number of radio stations including Dublin’s 98FM, SPIN and her local station East Coast FM. Gill is a bit of an adventurer, and loves to travel and explore new cities. She takes her camera everywhere, never missing a photo op! Gill literally could not live without music and movies, and she recently met and interviewed one of her on-screen heroes, the amazing Julie Andrews, AKA Mary Poppins!! Nick Sheridan, comes from Co. Wexford. He went to St. Senan’s Primary School in Enniscorthy, and then St. Peter’s College in Wexford town. After his Leaving Cert in 2010, Nick studied Journalism in Dublin City University before working as a journalist and researcher in Newstalk 106-108, and TV3. Nick loves to read, sing, cook, swim, watch TV, and random fact, he can play a mean tune on the fiddle! His favourite subject in school was History, his least favourite: probably Maths! Nick is big into film and film-making, and in 2009 was named Young Irish Film-Maker of the Year, travelling to South Korea to attend the Seoul International Youth Film Festival.
