The United Nations is exactly what it says on the tin: a group of countries working to achieve a safer and more equal world.

It’s Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon spent the last day of his trip to Ireland by meeting with young Irish citizens, and discussing their ideas to make the world a better place.
So, how do you do that? Well the UN and the young people he met think that by laying down a list of goals, called the Sustainable Development Goals, we can succeed!
Ban Ki-Moon was also launching Ireland’s search for a Youth Delegate, a young person who’s passionate about change. They’ll get the opportunity to travel to the UN.
Now Ban Ki-Moon is on his way to Brussels, hopefully with the words of young Irish people ringing in his ears.
