The Book of Kells is a manuscript illustrated by ancient monks, who were Ireland’s earliest painters.
The Book is considered to be one of the world’s greatest medieval treasures. It’s survived many Viking raids and it still remains with us 1,200 years later.
The challenge of the competition is to prove how this manuscript continues to shape and influence our lives today.
Getting behind the campaign is Laureate na nÓg, author and illustrator, PJ Lynch.
The book has been kept in the old Library at Trinity College since the mid 19th century.
