Tommy Meskill

Tommy is from Ennis, Co.Clare. He went to school at Barefield National School and then Rice College. After secondary school Tommy went to Dublin City University, where he studied Communication Studies. During his time at DCU he worked as an intern with Clare FM. After completing his degree he worked as a newsreader with Spirit Radio, East Coast FM and then became a reporter at FM104.

Tommy learned to play piano as a kid, but wasn’t great at practicing. He’s hoping to pick it up again in the near future!

He loves to swim and keep active. His favorite trip was to Ghana in Africa, where he did volunteer work with friends from college and he’s looking for an opportunity to return.

Tommy loves spending time with friends and travelling back to his family in Clare.

Zainab Boladale

Zainab was born in Lagos, Nigeria but has lived in Ennis Co.Clare since she was four years old. She went to primary school in Scoil Chriost Rí Cloughleigh and spent the first three years of secondary school in Gaelcholaiste an Chláir, Ennis where she became a Gaeilgeoir.

She studied journalism in Dublin City University and has previously worked as a digital news reporter. In 2017 she was named Journalist of the Year at the DCU Hybrid Awards and was nominated in the same category in the Union of Students in Ireland Achievement Awards.

Zainab loves cooking, photography, travelling, visiting galleries and museums. She has performed in spoken word poetry competitions. She’s a major Doctor Who fan and loves watching sci-fi.
